These terms apply to every booking made with Adventure Balloon Egypt. Please read them before you book. Making a booking means you accept them.
1. The booking
A booking is confirmed when we send you a written confirmation by WhatsApp or email stating the flight date, the package, the number of passengers and the price. A request submitted through this website is an enquiry until we confirm it.
2. Prices
Prices are per person, in US dollars, and include hotel or Nile-cruise transfer within Luxor, passenger insurance, refreshments and a flight certificate. Prices exclude tips, personal spending, and any government ticket described as excluded on the flight page. We reserve the right to change published prices; a confirmed booking is held at the confirmed price.
3. Payment
Unless agreed otherwise, payment is made on the morning of the flight in cash (USD, EUR or EGP) or by card where available. Group and agency bookings may be invoiced.
4. Cancellation and weather
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms are set out in full in our cancellation and weather policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Passenger eligibility and conduct
Passengers must be able to climb into the basket unaided and stand for the duration of the flight. We do not carry passengers who are pregnant, children under 6, or anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The pilot in command may refuse carriage to any passenger on safety grounds, in which case the fare is refunded.
Passengers must follow the pilot’s instructions at all times, particularly the landing brief. Smoking is prohibited at the launch field and in the basket.
6. The flight
Balloons fly with the wind. Flight duration, route, altitude and landing site vary with conditions and cannot be guaranteed. The pilot in command has absolute discretion over whether, when and where to fly and land.
7. Liability
Adventure Balloon Egypt holds passenger liability insurance as required by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Egyptian law. We are not liable for loss or damage to personal property carried into the basket, including cameras and phones, nor for consequential losses such as missed onward travel arising from a weather cancellation.
8. Personal information
We collect only what we need to carry you: name, contact details, group size, pickup location and any medical information you choose to disclose. See our privacy policy.
9. Photography
We photograph and film flights. If you would prefer not to appear in material we publish, tell your pilot or the ground crew and we will exclude you.
10. Complaints
Please raise any problem with us directly and immediately — the office answers WhatsApp from 03:30 to 22:00. We would rather resolve something the same day than read about it later.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and civil aviation matters by the regulations of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
