What guests praise most
- The moment the sun clears the eastern cliffs. It comes up behind Karnak and lights the necropolis from the side. Almost every review mentions it.
- The pilots. Guests consistently comment on how calm the pilots are and how much they explain during the flight.
- The organisation. Pickup on time, no waiting around at the field, back at the hotel in time for breakfast.
- Value. Booked direct, a Luxor balloon flight is one of the best-value experiences in Egypt.
What guests find hard
Two things, honestly:
- The alarm clock. A 04:00 pickup is genuinely early, especially if you arrived in Luxor the night before. Nobody has ever told us it was not worth it, but plan an early night.
- The cold. People pack for Egypt and arrive at the launch field in shorts. Bring a jacket — see flight information.

When you are comparing Luxor balloon companies, read the three-star reviews rather than the five-star ones. They tell you how a company behaves when the weather cancels a flight, which is the only thing that really distinguishes operators here.
